INMATE COMMISSARY ITEMS

Inmates use funds in their commissary accounts to order items of particular interest to them, from the list below.

The information on this page is provided to assist anyone who may be considering sending money to be deposited into an inmate's commissary account.

The first $15.00 in any inmate's account goes to Metro to recoup some of the cost of clothing and hygiene products issued to all inmates upon admission (this processing fee is waived if an inmate is deemed indigent). The article "Inmate Fees Generate Money" in the September, 2000, Rap Sheet discusses this processing fee in more detail.

This page is for information only. There is no way to deposit money into an inmate's account online, and no way to have items delivered to an inmate.  If you wish to deposit money into an inmate's account, please view the information about the facility where the inmate is housed.

Available items and prices are subject to change at any time. Although we cannot guarantee this list will always be correct up to the moment, we will make every effort to ensure that this page is updated as the items and prices change.

Important Notes:

  • Inmates may make no more than $65.00 worth of commissary purchases per week.
  • Items marked with an asterisk (*) after their prices are the only items available to inmates who are on disciplinary restrictions.
