UPDATE: The DCSO will be recommended for re-accreditation, scoring 98.6 out of 100!

The DCSO Administration Building began its American Correctional Association audit Wednesday morning.  The auditor will spend two days auditing 143 files, inspecting the building, and interviewing employees. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office is the only agency of its kind in the United States fully accredited by the American Correctional Association. This professional designation creates increased defense against Inmate lawsuits, a better system of documentation and improved policies and procedures. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office joins an elite group with this designation. Only 130 of the nation’s 3300 jails are accredited.
